He has held leadership roles in energy project development at ExxonMobil, Xcel Energy, AECOM, Rio Tinto, and Newmont Corporation. Ron earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
Ron has been a featured speaker at several Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) World Energy Conferences, numerous AEE chapters, and multiple Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration international mining conferences. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles published in AEE’s journals and over 65 energy-focused articles on LinkedIn and EnergyCentral.com.
He is also the author of the book The Iron Triangle of Energy: How to Improve Energy Cost, Reliability, & Emissions, published by River Publishers.
